Realogics Sotheby's

Client:
Realogics Sotheby's International Realty
Scope:
Drupal, Design, SEO, CSS, JQuery, Lightbox

Realogics Sotheby's hired Dorey Design to build a website that integrates their news posts, blog entries, photo galleries and videos with their company information, properties, and agent contact info. It presents a complete range of information about the realty company, organized within a drop-down menu system that expands elegantly. Blogs, news posts, and all other pages can be written in a WYSIWYG rich-text editor or via plain HTML, if desired. The agents are automatically added to a list upon submission of their bio, with portraits automatically cropped, thumbnailed, and optimized for the layout.

We used Jquery instead of flash to create a slideshow that invites visitors to explore the site. This implementation of Drupal and Jquery allows the client to update slides. Videos can be featured on the front page, as well as the first six thumbnails of the featured photo gallery. Visitors have many convenient access points for contact info, and can register for updates through a custom webform.

This custom webpage design was produced in-house for Realogics Sotheby's. SEO is implemented through the Drupal SEO module which allows the client to easily edit or add alt tags, meta descriptions, title tags, and meta key words.

realogics CMS removal

realogics.com screen grab an example of website
Client:
realogics
Scope:
rebuild website to remove textpad content managment system, SEO

One of our longtime clients Realogics came to us to have their site updated and rebuilt, to reflect the changing real-estate markets, as well as to update the functionality of the website. While the overall look of the site was not changed the site was made larger to accommodate higher resolution monitors, as well as to put more information on the screen.

We started by removing an old outdated, and overly complicated content management system, (text pad) and replaced it with W3C standards compliant HTML. Next we removed some unnecessary flash components and replaced them with jQuery animations. We then added a new top level menu item for their new brokerage and a news section for the home page. Now the site is easier to use, it loads faster, and is SEO friendly and thus more easily searchable (Google, Bing, Yahoo etc).

The new site can now be managed by Realogics admin staff using Dreamweaver with minimal HTML knowledge.
